Mother Falls in San Luis, Aurora
Aurora offers a lot more than just the beach. Though a coastal province, it’s also rich in natural land wonders. Rich green forests blanket rugged mountain ranges which serves as the gateway to the province from Nueva Ecija. Beneath these gates lay natural treasures any adventure seeker would be itching to get his foot on. Quezon Province is known by its many beaches for the province is an isthmus connecting Region IV and the Bicol Region. Surrounding the province are two large bodies of water – on the East lies the great Pacific Ocean and to the West is the quaint Tayabas Bay. I’ve been to some few beach places in Quezon but I’ve never imagined such destination which one usually finds in remote places exist in a place not far beyond reach. This is Puting Buhangin Beach. Baler, Aurora
Ten o’clock was our call time at Genesis Bus Terminal but due to the earlier down pour, the volume of traffic grew on major roads. Though the bus leaves at 1:00 AM, we decided to be at the terminal by 10 since there are many passengers on the first trip every Saturday according to Paolo’s friend, and he was right. People in the terminal were waiting for one bus and, definitely, one bus cannot accommodate all the anxious passengers. The Casiguran bus came and passengers heading to Casiguran and Baler were like ants swarming in front of the bus door. Shortly after, the Deluxe Baler Bus arrived and we hurried to get seats. It was my first time to ride a deluxe bus and it was oh so comfortable. Seats were like lazy boys where the back rest can be reclined, and there’s a lot of room for your tired feet. Even before the bus left, I fell asleep and woke up on the mountains of Nueva Vizcaya. It was 7:30 AM. Read more…
